August Vasilev is a Russian born and raised (until she was 3) that moved to Connecticut, who was born in August. She's that girl that sits in the back of the class and no one acknowledges or even spares a second glance. She doesn't think she's pretty. She thinks she's bellow average in the looks department. She's that girl with at never really talks, never raises her hand even though she always knows the answer, and the one that will end up doing all of the work in a project and allow you to take half credit-so you won't be mean to her. Jacob Pattinton is the schools hottest player and comes from a very wealthy family. He fools every girl into falling for him then breaks each and everyone of their hearts. He's that guy everyone drools and gossips about. He has no idea what he wants to do with his life so he's going to become a football player because that's what his father told him to be. He has had a small crush on August in their freshman year of high school but he ignored it and forced it to go away. When August was walking home from the library-that she spend the majority of her time at- she gets hit by a car that was going nearly three times the speed limit. Jacob saves her and brings her to he hospital. And ends up being the only person that can see or hear her. Feelings for each other begin to surface and both of them know that's a bad thing because she might not get out of the coma in the hospital. Will August survive? And if she does what will happen between them if she does?
