I take my necklace off and put it around her neck as she falls asleep. I hate leaving her, but I know I must. I exit out the door and look behind as I do. I see my sleeping little bird and I go back over and whisper. "I'll come back. I'll come back. I won't leave this world yet. I promise little bird." I kiss her forehead and slowly leave her. I hate not knowing if I'll never see her tomorrow, or in the next hour. But the streets call, as another deal, and another fight breaks out. I hold my gun in my left hand as I get in Marco's car. "You late." He says. "Just drive." He rips the engine and get to the next deal.
