Who I thought you were

Carter and her sister have just moved to San Diego, California from Mackinaw City, Michigan where they have lived their whole lives. A week after her and her sister arrive they receive the news that their parents died in a plane crash to meet them in Cali. Now Carter and her sister must make it through the school year without and parents. Will Carter be able to do it or will an old friend change it all?
