Catherine has been in love with George since childhood.  Her hopes of being with George were squandered completely by the fact that he is finally engaged to the one he loves. 
    In comes Ian Hamilton one of the wealthy Hamilton brothers who own several businesses. He swore never to look upon a woman since his Brother Edward's wife betrayed him. 
    In short, he harbors the fact that all women have the same motive- to seduce men for their own benefits.
