26-year-old Myrtle Connolly has always considered herself a free spirit. She's never really felt oppressed or overpowered.

As a journalist, currently, and an amateur detective when younger, Myrtle has always been quite adventurous.

So when she is asked to take a slightly dangerous, but highly interesting, job in the small town of Pathestow regarding a series of disappearances, a twelve-year-old mayor, and a jeweled yacht, Myrtle gladly takes it.

She honestly didn't expect everything to be true.

But Myrtle is locked inside the town until she can solve the mystery. So much for a news article.

It's time for Myrtle to don her deerstalker cap again, because there's a real mystery going on in the town around her.

And Myrtle will need all the help she can get.

((NOTE: Ungoverned takes place in the Professor Layton universe. This means puzzles, and references to the original series.
