Out of the Fade: Dragon Age Fanfic

Four months have passed since the death of Corypheus, and everyone at Skyhold has found daily routines to make up for the lack of tension and suspense in the air. With the Inquisitor away with some of her companions, those left at Skyhold are growing bored.

When a random rift opens in the middle of the day, everyone buzzes with excitement and fear. But when no demons come storming the castle, a few men go out to investigate, lead by Commander Cullen. What they find there surprises them more than a horde of demons.

What they find, curled up in the snow, shivering in rags, is an elf. The soldiers see an abomination threat, while Cullen sees a distraction from his boring, day to day desk life. But is the elf the distraction he needs, or is she the kind of trouble he doesn't want?
