So, never truly knowing her parents fate or current whereabouts, the young woman lived alone in her apartment complex just next door from her best friend Mahiru Shiroto. However, one day Mahiru takes in a small, homeless, black cat and names it Kuro. Mayu begins to take quite a liking to Kuro and, though she felt deeply bad about it, takes Kuro into her own possession as a cute and cuddly roommate of sorts. But how can one take a cat into their possession and not expect anything to go wrong...?
