If dumpsters could talk, what would they say?

They must witness a great many comings and goings in their time so you'd think they'd have a mighty fine story or two to tell.

When a mysterious woman wakes up in a dumpster with no memory of who she is or how she got there, it seems only fair to say that the dumpster in question would have a fair bit to say and a grand story to tell.

It's too bad they can't talk, really. She'll just have to find out her story the hard way...

Highest ranking #13 in vampire! (Although given the number of reads this book has, that may have just been a glitch that lasted a couple days :/)

This is a first draft so please excuse any spelling mistakes, plot holes/inconsistences etc. I will edit when I've finished the first draft.

[Complete. Wattys 2023 Winner] The Redding takes you if it knows your name. That's the rule that's kept Meg alive --- or awake, rather --- since the night the world went to hell. Nobody knows where the red stuff came from, but it acts like water, it's in the water, and it falls as rain every night. The people it captures drop like puppets with their strings cut. They're asleep, not dead, and they can be reawoken. But then they just try to kill you. Meg and the other survivors she's befriended think they've found a stable equilibrium, six weeks after the catastrophe began. In an empty town, there's not much to do except innovate new survival methods. Meg's crush is the one to discover that Morse Code, like writing, is a safe means of communication. That's all fine and good until the nightly rain begins. Raindrops, as it turns out, can make dots and dashes, too. The Redding can talk. And it's telling her to run. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2023 Winner. [DISCONTINUED] **MATURE LANGUAGE AND CONTENT** **POSSIBLE TRIGGERS** WATTYS2018 I walk down the staircase, entranced with his sharp, angular features. I notice how his lip curls up at the edge when he sees me. A soft breeze blows his scent across the room, and I can't think. Roses and salty ocean waves fill my nostrils. Add sunlight to the mix- which shouldn't have a smell but Luna, he smells like it- and I'm pretty sure if I could open my mouth, I'd be drooling. 'Mate.' My wolf whispers, giddy. I scramble back up the stairs. ____________________ Opening up when something terrible happens is hard. Near impossible. Jessamine Lightly was as normal as a Lycanthrope could be, but also a self-conscious teenager who felt a little out of place. Soul's Paradox [GL]

10 parts Ongoing Mature

Every soul has a secret. Theirs could change the fate of the night itself. When the cursed princess crosses paths with someone hiding a bloodline darker than anyone dares speak, their souls ignite with a forbidden magic that twists reality itself. Every glance is dangerous, every touch drags them deeper into a love bound not only by desire, but by an ancient curse that could either save the realms... or end them. They are tied by blood, fate, and something far darker. And loving each other may be the most dangerous paradox of all. ───────────────────── Disclaimer: This story is written in Tagalog-English.
