But is it truly someone in need, or the most elaborate trap the Doctor had ever encountered? Join the Doctors, his most popular companions, and two surprise guests as they unravel the mystery of the Menagerie! This was fun to write, as I have been a fan of Doctor Who since I was nine years old during the Tom Baker era. I studied hard to try to capture each Doctor's personality as they speak and interact, although I do admit that having a cast of 28 causes several characters to get lost within the dialogue. I made this as canonically correct as possible, pulling each Doctor and his corresponding companion from episodes to make this possible, but if you catch me in an error... I claim AU! Ha ha. It is for all intents and purposes a Capaldi episode, within his first season, long before Face the Raven. This is a Doctor Who fanfic for superfans only, as the entire first section only describes each Doctor by his attire, so you have to guess which is which by their apparel and companions. If you aren't familiar with each and every Doctor, this story will get very confusing. That being said, I hope you enjoy!

Neither of them expected the chance meeting to lead to mutual fascination...or obsession. (Featuring strong language, mutual obsession, doomed romance, subtle smut, crossovers and ANGST. Ya'll have been warned. If you don't like DW or Tenth Romance, don't read this.) ((This fic is based at the very end of Tenth's life, starting right before he would have returned to the Planet of the Ood to kickstart events of the finale. I wanted to play around with the concept of a companion who isn't really a companion, but rather a traveller of sorts with their own set of rules and ways of travel, and on equal(ish) footing with the Time Lord rather than an ordinary human. Yes there's a healthy dose of complicated/doomed romance because I'm a sucker for writing romance. I think it's fun. My favourite incarnation of the Doctor is perfect for that if I manage to pull it off. This is also the start of my take on a TimeLord Victorious plot line and the scenic route to get to that outcome. There are also crossovers and references to Primeval and various other franchises.)) (This is just me being a silly fan and wiritng stories I either shelved or tossed reimagined as Doctor Who stories featuring my favourite era of the show and my own OCs and lore.
