One morning I woke up in a bank of snow, naked, helpless, a tiny little poor thing, not knowing who I am, not remembering anything. A mysterious organization that I never heard of, Byzantine, took me in. I was given new life, new purpose and most of all a choice of identity.
Byzantine has two rules:
One. Don't get caught.
Two. If caught, the organisation takes no responsibility. Best case scenario: it's as if you never existed, Worst case scenario: You have to be eliminated in order to preserve the organisation's anonymity.
I am for hire, I ask no questions, I do my job neatly and quietly.
I go by different names, you might think you know me, but you're wrong.
Some say I have blonde hair, some say brown. Some say I have gorgeous blue eyes, some say green.
I look like your typical teenage girl, probably you have pass by me everyday, and for me that is the best disguise. No one suspects the young, vulnerable looking girl.
But how would you react if the shy, vulnerable girl you see everyday was actualy a cold-blooded assassin? Someone who can take someone else's life for the right price?
What if one day, everything you came to believe crumbles into dust? Everything you stood for was nothing but a tool for someone else's grand scheme? Should I try and seek the answers?
Who's the enemy? Who to trust?
Where does the lie begin? and most importantly...Where does it end?
Am I ready to face my own ghosts? Am I ready to battle my own demons?
Who am I?
Now, I don't care how much I bloody my hands to reach the truth, cause in the end, its the only thing that will set me free.
Follow me, as I walk down the bloody trail of love, faith, and betrayals: For Hire.
" You can't do this mission alone! I won't allow you to make reckless decisions based on your emotions, Via."
Exhaling, I cross my arms around my waist and stare at him with frustration.
"You can be mad all you'd like, it's not going to change my decision."
Getting up from the black leather chair I walk towards the wooden door and go to push it open with my right hand until I hear him behind me.
"Via, I'm serious. Listen to me, going alone is a suicide mission, I'll send someone experienced to go along with you when you're ready to leave."
He exhales and sits down in his chair with his hand in his chin. I glance at him, my silver eyes burning a hole right through him as I huff and open the door all the way and exit his office.
A dark alleyway creeps up in view as I sprint down the weathered cobblestone, leaving wet footprints as I dart into the small spot. The full moon beams down from the sky, illuminating the small buildings up against each other for support. The smell of rain and sea water infiltrate my nose as I breathe in heavily, exhaling as I remember that it's only half past 12 a.m. Slowing down to a walking speed, I glance around me and cover my face with my dampened hood and keep my eyes fixated on the sleek ground below me.
My mission: to infiltrate the Six Eyed Serpent, an organization of the most wanted and criminally insane.
The top 4 leaders of the group are identified by the creeping two headed snake symbol.
And let me rephrase, this isn't just my mission, it's my death wish. A suicide mission. No one has ever faced any of the Six and lived to see the light of day.
This is my story, about an experienced assassin going up against the most ruthless group of people the country as ever seen.
