Just as her arrival as the first girl had been a shock, for Tiegan to arrive alongside a boy left suspicious whispers within the walls because there had only ever been one new Glader at a time. There were so many secrets beyond the walls but it was hard to try and listen to them when life in the Glade was forced to go on like clockwork. Thomas - the boy Tiegan arrived with - can't live restricted within the walls and he does everything to fight his way out. Tiegan can't decide whether the escape that lies beyond the horrors within the maze is better than the restricted life trapped inside the walls of the Glade.
