It was almost impossible for a vampire to live a normal life. It was against the law for vampires to be with any other beings than their own kind. The magic realm was filled with different monsters and creatures that were a risk to human kind, which was why they stayed hidden. They were deemed so dangerous, that they were hunted by a different species: angels.
Vampires and angles had been at war for centuries, with the heavenly-like creatures winning every battle. But it was important to keep the two species separate, as angel blood was the cure to any vampire becoming human again, keeping in mind that once bitten by a vampire, for an angel it was sudden death.
However in this day and age, vampires walked freely amongst the city. After all, they needed humans to feed and in order to do that, they had to blend in. The war between vampires and angels had to be kept secret from human kind, and the species had to stay apart.
But for one vampire and one angel, it was hard to stay apart, because sometimes you can't help falling in love.
