The Undead

The End is Near
The government has a secret, they are the cause of the apocalypse of the dead. They wanted a weapon, something that no one would be able to beat. They created a virus, one that wakes the dead, that creates more like them. But it went wrong. It kills women, and those women infect others. They've found no women that can get past it. They keep the secret, let the world believe the apocalypse is here, that the government didn't just kill the world, while they search for a cure. It's then that they learn of the one girl that hasn't been infected, she's immune, and they're going to do everything they can to get her. Cassandra Bryan, a 19 year old college student, is thrown into the world of the undead when she comes home to witness firsthand what the world has come to. All she wants is to keep her friends safe and find somewhere safe they can live, away from the horrors of the world. She travels the continent, trying to find somewhere she can stay. She faces unimaginable threats and has to learn to face her fears, or die at the hands of them. She faces many things and find some things. She faces death and sadness, faces the unthinkable. And she finds real friendship and even love. Is it possible to love in the apocalypse? She'll just have to find out. She learns of what the government did and that they are looking for her, and she runs, trying to keep her and her friends alive. But there's only so much one girl can do. Will she find somewhere safe to hide from the government? Or will the government finally catch her? Will she fall to the world of the undead? Will her love survive the apocalypse? In a world where a virus has spread that causes people to turn into flesh-eaters, you have lived being a zombie killer. You stopped having feelings after being forced to do the unthinkable and have lost the capability to love, no ability to care about the walkers around you. You run into an old childhood friend, as well as some more recent ones, as you discover a new survivors' camp. Despite this, you didn't expect to run into five girls you always admired. What is unknown to you, despite the clear signals given, is their attraction to you. Just when you thought being constantly attacked by the walking dead was enough, you're thrown into a whirlpool of emotion. Will it be a virus or love that leaves you infected? This is a short story I made a while back. It is made of all real places I have been and people I have known. It follows me in the zombie apocalypse trying to complete a complete a mission.
