The Ones That Were Left Behind
Is a story that is based in an apocalypse. A nuclear apocalypse. It has heartpounding moments and intense, yet likeable characters.
This is only my second story so if there are any mistakes, please, don't be harsh. But don't let me spoil too much of what will be in the story.

Plague 2023 [Plague 2022 Season 2] by lilac_minded

The world is still reeling with the aftermath of the failed biological experiment which was engineered to enhance human abilities but ended up destroying the human race. The group that it through are now trying to find the normalcy in life again only to be thrown into a new nightmare altogether. A group that knows more than anyone should has their eyes on the survivors and virus, convinced that they can use this to their own advantage and create a strength of their own. Old memories resurface, dangerous risks are taken, unexpected reunions occur, and blood spills all over as the survivors battle to survive not one, but two nightmares together.

Humans have become soo busy in their own lives that they have completely forgotten about others and even other lives on Earth. So many species are now extinct because of them and even though life is almost over we still not able to see the right thing. If we had seen things in the right way the right perspective we would've have alot to share and alot to give . The story begins in a rural Nevada town, alternating between multiple different characters, all of which are teenagers at the same high school. It is a typical Monday for most of the students there, until strange sirens kick off the beginning of an unexpected major apocalyptic event, which appears to be a nuclear assault. In the course of the chaos, all of the teachers and supervisors are killed, leaving this group of teenagers to fend for themselves within the darkness of the fallout shelter beneath their school. It isn't until they reach the brink of hunger and self-destruction that they finally leave the shelter and discover that they are the only survivors left in the entire town.
