The knights are forced to fight for others entertainment in the arena, or they will be killed. When Merlin starts having peculiar visions about a land he never saw before, he decides to investigate. But little does he know that when he sneaks out to find this land and help its endangered people, Arthur followes him. Throughout the journey the Prince of Camelot doesn't only learn new things about Merlin, but about himself and their joined destinies, as well. Who knows, they might even swap roles and Merlin becomes king, while Arthur is just a knight?

Merlin has been waiting centuries for Arthur to return, and now he has, just a little more different than before. Merlin must guide him to return to being the king that he was before, to reunite Albion.

Arthur develops magical abilities in his early teenage years and learns to hide it in fear of his father. Merlin comes along and they both try to hide their magic from the other while simultaneously trying to figure out what the other is hiding from them. Of course, they both need to hide their abilities from Uther, which becomes harder and harder after Merlin is kidnapped by an evil sorceress. All while they struggle to understand their feelings for one another. Set in Season 1, sometime before The Beginning of the End, so he doesn't know he is Emrys yet, but Merlin has been Arthur's manservant for a while. (I don't own Merlin or the characters, just loved the show)
