❝Darkness cannot defeat darkness. Only light can do that.❞ The kingdom of Arzaiya is a wondrous place, a land lost in time, corralled by the Evermists, and the sanctuary of the Balance. Magic fills its valleys, and tops its mountains. Ancient arts lost long, long ago are common here. For young dreamers in Arzaiya, to take up these arts is to achieve some kind of respect. These dreamers often band together, in groups called guilds, where they can hone their skills, teach others, and, of course, find suitable jobs for their talents. In a land of such peace, it seems darkness may not even exist... But that would be a lie. On a day that comes in only a hundred or so years, an eclipse passes over the sun on the day of the summer solstice, allowing many strange, magical, and sometimes miraculous things to happen. And on this day, a young girl known only as Nevaiana arrives on the doorstep of a steadily-growing, promising guild known as the Silver Dreams Guild, cloaked entirely in black, with no recollection of her past. As the growing darkness in Arzaiya, and in the guild, becomes more evident, Nevaiana is faced with the ever-growing ominous wall of fear and doubt directed towards her, without even knowing why. Someone wants her gone, and gone forever, and it all has something to do with who she was- Or who she still is.

Inure: (v.) To accustom to accept something undesirable, evil, or painful. An other worldly girl is reincarnated as Queen Estella de Royalis, the villainess of a novel that is killed by her own husband. Having no other choice, she strives to save herself from that fate. However, the novel she read is not the reality she believed. ______ I tried on another, a red one this time. I twirl in its large skirt. "This one matches your eyes," I say as I spin. "This one too." I stop, putting my hands on my hips. "Are you going to order all of them?" "If I want to, yes, I will." He doesn't budge. I sigh, sitting next to him. "You know that you don't have to do this. I can go buy my own dresses." "I know, but I want to see you wear dresses that I chose. Besides, is it so wrong to want to spend time with you?" ______ Note: This is entirely my work. I want to see if I'm able to write something without a plot set up for me. I hope you like it!
