Aurelia thought she was your average sixteen-year-old girl until a veil was lifted and she sees the world with new eyes. Aurelia lives in a world that is not only inhabited by reprimere, those with no gifts, but by lucem and tenebris.
Lucem are the most gifted with their ability to manipulate their environment, and their heightened senses and physical strength. Tenebris are descendants of lucem who have lost the gift of manipulation. Jealous of the lucem, tenebris train as great warriors is order to defeat the lucem and to uncover a way to harness their powers.
All lucem must train at designated academies in order to master their gifts. Aurelia is no exception. Together with her friends, Aurelia discovers an ancient prophecy that could change their world forever.
