Zero's uniqueness causes him to be shunned by the other cows. In order to avoid a trip to the meat market, he has to show the cattle whisperer what an embarrassment he really is. Rejected by his father, he causes uproar amongst his mother's friends, but he really just cannot help himself.

It is a true fact that cattle all over the world graze facing either north or south. The mystery stuns farmers and scientists, who cannot agree on any concrete theory.  The discovery of Zero will make things even more complicated, and might not help Zero restore his relationship with the herd.
