It's pure euphoria. When he finally pulls away, I ache for his touch, immediately missing the warmth of his lips.
"Fuck, Zayn," he murmurs, burying his face in the crook of my neck. "Why do you make me so happy?"
His words catch me off guard. I close my eyes, letting his tender kisses guide my heart. Scott draws back, cupping my face and scattering kisses all over it. I giggle at his playful affection.
"I've never felt this way about anyone before," he confesses, his brown eyes locking with mine. "You make me happy just by smiling. My heart races when you're this close. And by the way, you're a fantastic kisser."
I blush and turn my gaze away. "I'm happy too, Scott. But what does this mean? What about Jess? What about my mother? This feels so wrong. I don't know-"
He silences me with another kiss. "Don't worry about that," he says, his eyes sparkling. "We have each other. That's all that matters, right?"
I nod, and he leans in for another kiss.
"Let me enjoy this," he murmurs between kisses. "Because, damn, I can't get enough of you."
