After the events of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen's battle against the Night King, Westoros is left in utter chaos and devastation, where the winter weather and freezing climates of the North have left it almost unbareable and the heat scorching the deserts in Dorne, the world has ended up in Ice and Fire. And with the great houses gone, and no one to lead them, survival is even more difficult.
