Evanescent

A small tale of life, one story among the thousands that live throughout a city run by time, a simple world maybe, in a parallel universe where life seems simple; follow the clock and it will see you through the ages, one day at a time, one thing at a time, and when you are through with that which you have already experienced it fades from your life and you move on to the next in a steady cycle, like clockwork. But what if this was broken? After all, what are only mortals?... Humans. And being only humans sometimes they aren't ready to let go.

--This story is from a little while back, it was part of a short story contest between me and some of my family members. I just recently went over it, editing and adding things, its not very well written and slightly boring, a simple slice of life pretty much, but i hope you enjoy.---
