He scooted in closer to her. It was the smallest gesture Maya had ever witnessed. It was obvious that he was trying to move over just enough that they were closer, but not enough that it was noticeable to her. Then his hand grazed hers in the same fashion.

"So, where are you going from here?" he asked.
