Alice is a relatively shy girl at school. She keeps to herself most of the time. Having been bullied for the majority of her life, Alice finds it challenging to trust people, especially when it comes to making friends. She's a dancer and a singer, but prefers not to perform in front of anyone, for the fear of being judged and perceived negatively. Instead, Alice prefers to go on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube and talk to people there, rather than conversing with people in the real world.

That is until Kat, an outgoing girl full of life, comes to her school. Kat, like Alice, has difficulty trusting people, therefore creating an alter-ego to get her through every day at school. Kat has a secret, but does not tell anyone, other than her friends, Christian and Tim. However, when Alice and Kat are partnered together for a History assignment, things get a bit heated, causing Alice to question herself severely.

The two girls are very similar, but very diverse at the same time. Opposites attract don't they? So what could possibly go wrong?

Ethan and Luca were inseparable as children-two boys who spent their summer days building forts, sharing secrets, and dreaming of a future that would never tear them apart. But when Ethan's family suddenly moves to another state, their once unbreakable bond starts to fade. The letters slow, the phone calls dwindle, and soon, childhood promises give way to the inevitable distance that time creates. Years later, fate steps in when they are unexpectedly reunited as roommates during their sophomore year of college. Both have changed-Ethan is now a confident, outgoing athlete, while Luca has grown more reserved, preferring the solitude of his studies. Old memories resurface as they struggle to find common ground in the midst of their new lives. What begins as a tentative reconnection evolves into a friendship neither of them realized they still needed. But as the months go by, unspoken feelings rise to the surface. Ethan can't help but notice how much Luca has changed-and how deeply he's drawn to him in ways he doesn't fully understand. The more time they spend together, the more he questions if his feelings for Luca are more than just nostalgia for the boy he once knew. Meanwhile, Luca is grappling with his own confusion, unsure if what he feels for Ethan is just a longing for the past or the beginning of something more. As their bond strengthens, so does the tension between them, building toward a moment that will change everything. When Ethan finally confesses his feelings, Luca is forced to confront the truth he's been hiding from himself all along. In a story filled with slow-burn romance, emotional growth, and the intricacies of love and friendship. From childhood companions to star-crossed college roommates, Ethan and Luca's journey is a heartwarming and achingly tender exploration of friendship, loss, and the kind of love that spans both time and distance.

Now, months into the 9th grade, he's starting to feel strangled by this secret that he has to keep. But with a very religious family, and friends he doesn't know if he can trust, he has nobody to confide in.
