Arya was living a normal life until an unspeakable event happened to her and her family. When she had nowhere else to go a young man named Bane kidnapped her, claiming he was trying to protect her.
Arya had no choice but to be held prisoner in Bane's house. She discovers that three other people named Luka, Jayden, and Eden live there as well, being close friends of Bane. Weird things started to occur while under his roof, leading Arya to believe Bane wasn't quite human. He proved to be a reckless, unkind, and cold guy. Once revealing his dark nature, she fears for her life in assumptions she'll be his next target.
Without being able to go anywhere and peculiar occurrences, her curiosity gets the best of her. She knows everybody in the house is hiding a secret from her and she's determined to get to the bottom of it. All the while she is dealing with Bane, a boy who she should hate and fear, but at the same time Arya feels a strong pull towards him.

"You can't escape me. I will always find you and I will always protect you," he stated.
"What if I don't want you to?" I asked.
"You don't have a say. I am always going to be by your side. You will never be rid of me. I promised that day to look after you and under no circumstances am I going to break that promise," he stated.
I thought about everything I was going through. About everything that had happened that made me want to never see him again, but what if this was the best way to live my life? What if I couldn't get out of what I'd gotten in to?
"I suppose I have no choice now," I stated.
