Codename McaT

The Monstercat Family, named for the Monstercat EDM label, is an intergalactic crime syndicate composed of escaped "criminals" who have been wrongly incarcerated by vindictive and self-serving officials. Their mission: to overthrow corrupt governments and interplanetary empires targeted by their leader. Many people have tried to take them down in misguided attempts to free their sector of the universe from "evil," but no one in the Family has ever taken the attempts seriously...

Test Subject 025 lived the first 16 years of her life in a lab, surrounded by inhumane and sadistic scientists. When a chance for freedom and revenge came in the form of a mysterious stranger, she didn't hesitate to kill her captors, escape, and sabotage the government that funded the experiments she was a part of. What she doesn't realize is that a single official managed to escape...

Now, 2 years later, Test Subject 025, codenamed McaT, is the leader of the Monstercat Family. She's become highly successful as a crime lord and nothing stands in her way until she receives a death threat from someone she knows shouldn't be alive...

025's goal is to find both her would-be killer and her mysterious savior without being too caught up by her problematic tendencies (which may be a side effect of the experiments) to party too hard, steal things, be a loose cannon, and generally get into trouble. The Family's goal is to help her get there.
