Mara has been juggled to many foster homes in her eighteen years of life. Never staying in one place too long. Now after the fire incident, killing her last foster parents she's moved to Forks, Washington. There she's taken under the wing of Charlie Swan, a policeman, who's daughter had just died recently. Starting her senior year in Forks High she meets Edward Cullen, a mysterious boy with piercing golden eyes. Partnered with him on an class assignment, she grows to know him. Maybe even fall in love with him. But Mara is more complicated than she seems. She has a haunting past, one she tries to run from.
