Haunted by the mantra "I'm nobody," I echoed these words in my mind, feeling as though my entire existence revolved around catering to the happiness of others. Despite having friends, a constant undercurrent of self-doubt lingered, as if I were an anchor holding them back. In the shadow of my brother Adam's fame with the renowned band Three Days Grace, I was the family's black sheep, an outcast in our town. My academic prowess and hardworking nature seemed to count for naught, dismissed by my father as failure. Even my past relationship revealed a cruel truth - I was a mere experiment for my ex-boyfriend's infidelity. While my brother Adam basked in the heroics of our town, I felt cast aside, deemed a potential threat to other teens and shunned like a contagious disease. Despite my pleas for help falling on deaf ears for years, my existence seemed insignificant, unnoticed. The reflection in the mirror, one last look before I just contemplated ending it all, reflected a soul weary of pleasing others at the cost of my own emotions. With black lipstick, I scrawled a poignant question on the mirror: "Are you happy?" In the final, desperate act, as I pushed myself to the brink, a rush of relief mingled with the pain. Yet, as I succumbed to the darkness, a familiar voice called my name, disrupting the silence. Awakening to a hospital room, my feet tied to the bed, a blond-haired, blue-eyed figure lay by my side, a silent sentinel. Even in my darkest moment, he defied my wishes, standing vigil over the remnants of a life I sought to escape. The tangled web of emotions unfolds as I grapple with the unexpected second chance, questioning whether the bonds of love and resilience can conquer the shadows that once consumed me.

Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. It all started when a boy brought attention to her in biology class one day, laughing at her and calling her a "freak" while the rest of the class laughed along with him. She never looked at him or saw his face; she just ran out of the room crying. She was now an outcast labeled as a freak and she wanted nothing more than to just disappear. She felt she had no purpose in life. Until her sophomore year when she fell in love with Liam, the guy every girl wanted; the guy every dude wanted to be. He had stolen her heart and she now wanted nothing more than to be with him. Unfortunately, Liam seemed to want nothing to do with Emma. He seemed to be straight up avoiding her. They never interacted for 3 whole years. That is, until now in their senior year, when they get paired up for a school project. The two must put their differences aside and try to work as a team. But as they spend more time together, feelings grow deeper, and secrets start to rise to the surface. Warning: Contains mature language, sex, and topics of bullying, sexual assault/harassment, self-harm, and suicide

He wants to her but she doesn't believe him. Katherine Ricena is trying to find her new way in the world after she catches her boyfriend of almost a year cheating on her. With the scars still fresh, and the memories and red flags she didn't catch haunting her, she decided to bulldoze her way through life like nothing ever happened. She's never been one to burden others with her problems, why would she start now? Gone is the girl who was confident, sassy, and didn't care what others think. She was replaced by the meek, shy girl, whose body is too big to be an athlete to her parents and her mind asking her is it worth it. But he refuses to give up. Gorgeous, Arrogant, and Persistent as fuck Noah Miller has always had everything he has ever wanted except the feeling of a real family. With just his famous dad in his life he has always come second to his dad's career. The most important thing to his father is his image; outside of the public eye the secrets run deep. He thinks this fresh start in a small town will be good for the next few years to be a ghost in until he can finally get out under his father's shadow. Until he see her. To him she the most beautiful girl, with curly dark brown hair and jade green eyes and dark freckles splatter on her cheeks and nose; she is exceptional. Except for the brokenness he sees in her dull eyes and the faded color her freckles are becoming. She hates how he makes her feel so she shuts him out. But the attraction they feel might be enough to pull them close together and give each other a second chance at life and to heal from the past deep scars. And he refuses to give up until she know she is worth everything. * ~#1 in abuse - 12/2/2025~
