Elanor Cotton is one of those Hobbits in who are classed as "Shire Bound". Ever since her father died, Elanor has been named this. A Shire Bound Hobbit is, someone who never gets to see the world beyond the boundary line of The Shire. Of course she knew something was bound to happen, that broke the name and broke the bond between mother and daughter, but she never quite understood the dangers that lay before her.

Your father had left after you where born since he had a child with a human but your mother died when giving birth to you as he took you and left you in Lothlórien, you lived with Galadriel and Celeborn when he left learning various skills of fighting and some of the common tongue but it wasn't your strong point. you wanted to see the world as you where packing your things in your chambers strapping your belt on that had your sword and daggers in a X shape at the back, you dressed in gear that would do for travelling and fighting, you wore the tall knee high boots and hidden daggers in them, and put the arrow holder once your shoulder then wore your dark cloak that was elven made so it protect you. "I will stay safe. I promise," I said, pulling back and looking her in the eyes. They were red and puffy from crying, and her face was tearstained. I dried her tears, and her sobbing slowed to a stop. She took a shuddering breath and hugged me tightly. "You promise?" Míreth said quietly. "I promise," I whispered back. I held her tightly. "When I come back, we can live a happy, normal life together. I will come back. Alright?" I hoped the word together would hit a nerve. I did. Míreth pulled back, new tears of hope in her eyes.
