It's late 1943 in a small town 20 miles from London, 15 year old Lily is praying for the end of the war, praying for the end of the war to come soon.She misses life as it is, her freedom is limited and the constant air raids near by are terrifying, and she's fearing her father will be called up for service, despite being medically discharged in world war 1.
Lily's friends who live nearer the city have either died in he constant bombings or have been sent away to live in the countryside.
Lily just needs some hope, compassion and love.Times are hard.

So @franzixidfc contacted me and asked if I couldn't write a book on her idea and this is the result. I tried to follow the basic storyline and added some myself. Harry and Louis were best friends when they were kids until Harry had to move away. Harry returned at the age 17 to his home town to live with his aunt. The kids in Ireland bullied him for the way he dressed. In his new school Harry noticed a loner that everyone called Tommo. There was something familiar with the boy but Harry doesn't make the connection at first.
