Remus is afraid of his transformations. He is reluctant to let his friends come along again, not after last time, but he is afraid to be without them. 

Sirius's home life is getting worse, he is seen with bad injury's and as thin as a stick. But his friends are kept in the dark by black.

James has broken up with Lilly Evans and is miserable. He starts drifting apart from the marauders and trying to stop breaking the rules, he is becoming self conscious and stressed. 

Peter watches as his friends world fall apart, unsure how to handle it. Torn between good james, distressed remus and abused Sirius.
