"...if there's anyone reading this, and if anyone wishes to risk his life to save mine, the most important thing to remember is that you should never ever feed the monster." Brooklyn Anne Jones leads a normal teenage life. She goes to school, takes piano lessons, and of course, has a best friend: Christine. Christine is outgoing, creative, and an all-around good person. So, when Christine starts writing a story and posting it online, naturally, Brooklyn reads it. As she follows Christine's story online, Brooklyn sees some strange parallels between reality and Christine's book, and she realizes there is a dark secret buried underneath it all. Is the real world as dangerous as Christine's fictional one?

Elsa

"I'm a monster," he said looking away, pulling away from me like he always did. "You're a beautiful monster," I said with a smile. Normal parents would have told you that there were no monsters underneath your bed or in your closet, but not my parents. No, they would hold the gun and check underneath the bed and lock up the cupboards. That's the life of a Hunter I guess. I know what's out there, I know what goes bump in the night and I'm still not ready to fight it, but for him...I would do anything to keep him safe. Elsa is not an ordinary 16 year old girl. Not only is her family one of the greatest Hunters in the states, she too is also hiding another secret from her family. Something that makes her a little more different. Would Elsa risk her family for a guy? Would her secret destroy everyone she loves?
