He traced his fingers up my arm, then pulled away from me completely. I gasped when he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me to him quickly. I placed my hands on his shoulders, one fisting his shirt and the other cupping his neck. With his other hand, he pushed a loose strand of hair behind my ear and then pulled his other down my cheek and to my lips, tracing my bottom one with his thumb. He soon pushed it to the back of my head, where the end of the bandage was. He pulled off the tape and unfolded the end of the bandage from the top of the fold. He started unwrapping it, the bandage, probably, gathering up around his fingers.
As he removes each layer, I feel myself release a little bit of the breath I was holding in. He soon reaches the last layer of the bandage, quickly pulling it off. I feel him move away and hear him pick something up. He comes back and removes the two cotton pads off of my eyes. He wipes them with, what I'm guessing, is cotton pads and a bit of water. I open my eyes and gasp quietly.
Everything was so bright, it hurt my eyes, so I blinked a few times before looking around. The sofa, coffee table, the Welsh dresser, the TV, the CD desk, and the paintings on the wall.
I moved my eyes around a bit more before setting my eyes on one thing.
One person.
