In a small town just below northern Alaska, light is barely seen, and the population is small. Kate Lewis lives in Bettles, Alaska where only a population of 12 lives. For Kate's 20th birthday, her mother surprises her and takes her to Hawaii for a week long trip. Two days into their trip, they come to realize that their town back in Alaska had been destroyed, and are forced to live in Hawaii until they find another place to live. Kate agrees with her mother to move back to Alaska, until a Hawaiian boy turns her whole world around.All Rights Reserved
