Brice is constantly having a reoccurring dream about the same boy, with no face, but his eyes are visible. In order to figure out what is going on with him he tries researching at a local library and finds someone with the same problem, Seto. Together they have to figure out what is going on and complete their mission before time is up.

It started out with one spell. Just one. It was simple, it was easy. It made him feel invincible. But then it grew out of control, until the only magic he could cast - the only magic he wanted to cast - was dark magic, and suddenly morals flew out the window in favor of another dark high. Clay has autism and finds comfort in simple things, the illuminated a fireplace on a winter's night, fish swimming and stuffed animals. However, this was all soon to change after a tragic accident. George doesn't have an easy home life, after noticing signs of possibly a muscle disease, his only wish is to get help for it, however his parents deny every word that is brought up about it. Yet, it gets worse by the day as George quickly looses any hope left. When Clay is left traumatised by his past, he thinks nothing will bring back the same happiness he once felt, but when George moves into the farm he often visits, that same joy that was extinguished with the fire, sparks again...
