It's the year 2022. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The novel follows the journey of the daughter of the poor assistant of the De Beers CEO. The Frenchman's daughter, Maninois, is tired of the treatment her father gets from the other 1% of the country and even some of the 99% as well. Her resentment for these people begins to grow stronger after she is forced into near slave like conditions by the CEO in exchange for her family's safety.

She finally sees an opportunity to fix everything for her father when she sees an ad by De Beers for a diamond worth 13.2 million dollars, and that there are already people willing to shell out well over that amount for it.

She decides to do the only thing she knows how, and pulls together her ragtag team of "friends" for one last heist. In this, the heist that she believes will end all heists she will need to guide this group of adolescents through nosy neighbors, escaping the authorities and, most importantly, making sure her father doesn't find out.
