At the end of Catching Fire Katniss is taken by the Capitol instead of Peeta. Peeta is safe in District 13, but must take on the role as Mockingjay to save Katniss' life. Katniss suffers from torture while in the Capitol while Peeta suffers from his nightmares in District 13. Peeta's role as the Mockingjay continues after Katniss returns, despite his plans, while Katniss' mind fills with thoughts of a mutt who she believes had killed millions. 

More nightmares... more torture... more things these two star-crossed lovers must endure.
