Murphy's summer plans were thrown into the dustbin when his parents forced him to travel to Denton, Texas to meet Murphy's grandfather, whose condition is worsening day-by-day. 

With the whole family at his Grandfather's villa, Murphy's the only one who's a teenager, making him the odd one of them all.

Murphy finds a much needed friend in a girl named Lily who's the daughter of the owner of the town's funeral home, who has had a long-term hatred for Murphy's family. 

The two unexpectedly meet and sparks fly. With the help of each other and Murphy's fragmented family, they discover love, freedom and happiness as the real world and their own demons threaten to force them apart.
