Kellin Quinn is forced to move with his father to a small community in San Diego. He never even heard of the place but now he's living there. Kellin hasn't even unpacked his boxes when his father enrolls him into what is suppose to be the best high school in the town.
Clairemont High looks like one of the worst schools on the face of the earth. It reminds kellin of the stereotypical high schools he use to watch on TV when he was little. But honestly speaking it is exactly like that, he notes all the cliques right away, your typical jocks, cheerleaders, school council, nerds, emos, and outcasts. But one really catches his eye and confuses him. A group of 4 mexican looking guys. It looks like the shortest one is the leader of the group because the other 3 are circling him. Almost protecting him from everyone else. He mentally notes to stay away from them. But as life goes on he finds that hard. There's just something different about the short one. Something he will soon learn.

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world. The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
