When her work is done, she plans to travel across Europe and back to america. She has everything figured out-even how long she has left on this earth-, but then enters James  Herondale into the picture. He is cocky, a player, and vary charming. James, heir to his fathers million dollar company, lives in the moment and doesn't think or care about what the future will hold.
Of course, this unlikely pair falls in love..... but Rose has a dark secret, and she doesn't want James to get hurt by it. Will James find out what she's hiding? Will he stay if he dose? Will he fight for her? Will Rose run away from James?
