Locusts and Snakes

An man who has been a solider of one form or another his whole life tries to escape his bloody life by taking an offer he can't refuse. But when the two men that hold his leash begin to quarrel he finds himself yet again on the path of blood, and such a path never has a happy ending for any involved.

A girl meets a very mysterious man who gives her seemingly simple tasks for some extra coin to feed her family, but when the tasks start getting darker and her blood begins to sing she realises something about both herself and the world that only a handful of people alive know, and it isn't good news. The man takes her to a temple where her life is destined to end and yet begin again.
