Alice is a 17 year old girl, who temporarily moves to Sydney to live with a foster family since her own parents don't want to speak to her anymore. She goes to school with her foster brother and sister and then she meets Luke Hemmings, the shy boy who always chooses to sit by himself in the back of the classroom. When they get to know each other, Luke falls madly in love with her, but Alice just sees him as her best friend. Is Alice going to open her eyes and see that Luke is in love with her? "Family isn't always blood, it's the people in your life, who want you in theirs; the ones who can accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything just to see you smile, and love you no matter what."
