The devastating events of the Vietnam War have left the village in scraps...and a lead into the normal,pre-war lives of the innocent inhabitants. *Additional Historic information* The Vietnamese war lasted from 1955-1975 and in that duration a catastrophic event known as the Mai Lai massacre took place. In this massacre up to 98% of the village's population was unjustifiably killed by the Americans who used advanced chemical warfare. This event was hidden from the media for over a year.
