Dan worked in the local Cafe with his best friend Louise. Everything was just about perfect, the soft hum of their music playing in the background, the pastel colours spread throughout the building, the busy life of people entering the shop. It was just about everything Dan could of wished for. Just about. Opposite the Cafe, a dark tattoo parlor opened. Loud metal music escaping through the open windows, people with tattoos covering their skin- exactly the opposite of the cafe... What will happen when pastel Dan and punk Phil meet?

Wren Calloway had one dream: to open her own coffee shop and bookstore, a place where people could sip espresso and get lost in a good story. What she didn't plan for? Setting up shop right next door to the most insufferable, tattooed menace to ever exist-Weston Hale. Weston's been running Sin & Needle, his badass, no-nonsense tattoo shop, for years. It's his sanctuary, his turf, and the last thing he needs is a cozy little bookstore café attracting chatty customers and ruining his whole damn aesthetic. Wren is too loud, too confident, and too good at getting under his skin. Worse? He can't stop thinking about her. The feud between Sin & Needle and The Caffeinated Reader is instant, fiery, and petty as hell. • Weston swears she's bad for business. • Wren thinks he's just mad she's winning. • Their employees start placing bets on when they'll snap and make out already. But the more they fight, the harder it gets to ignore the tension buzzing between them. And when a bet between them forces Weston to spend more time in her world-where coffee smells like vanilla and laughter is too damn distracting-he starts to wonder if hating her was ever the point. She's caffeine. He's ink. They don't mix. So why does he keep coming back for another taste?
