Saphira has grown up in a world that is split in half. On one side of the fenced border, there are humans, on the other dangerous magical creatures lurk. When her adoptive parents send her to a summer camp right next to the border a new adventure begins. She discovers a new best friend but is she really who she says she is? And then there's the mysterious, handsome boy Jace that seems to have an odd interest in her and his ice cold twin brother Finnick, who could kill someone with his withering glare. Saphira soon finds herself entangled in their lives... More so then she wants to be.

It's like a punch to the chest every time he sees her, and it's like she's looking through him. But, she did immediately assign him onto her personal guard, so she has to still have feelings for him, right? He tries to think positively, but it's hard. He never gives up though, not on her. Twin sister to Nia, Ivy is faring no better. Stress might as well be her middle name! Secrets are piling up around her and suffocating her, and she has a strong case of avoiding-my-boyfriend-itis. She's always researching in the library, trying to find a way to help her sister with memory problems. Dealing with that, as well as the pitying looks of her friends, piece of cake!.... Yeah, not really.

They had wings, tails, and even claws. Once she got to her cabin, there was a girl with wings, who new May and this other girl would become good friends after that.
