Do you ever see something, and wonder how the heck it got there? Why it's such a mess? Like a car wedged in between a fence, or a fish bowl up on a tree? Well, that's how I'm looking at my life right now. Why? Might you ask. Let me explain these confusing events to you, and then maybe you'll get me.

My name's Crystal by the way. I'm a quadruplet. Yeah, that's right. I was born with three other people. See, I have four siblings. Those three people that I was born with are Michael, Jason, and Amanda. Our older brother is Bryan. Imagine finding out that you're getting not one, not two, but four other siblings! I crack up every time I see the video my dad filmed of his reaction. Anyway, so yeah, I've grown up with four siblings. Well, not really. Actually, my parents got divorced when we were four. My dad had had enough of taking care of five children. He still wanted to keep some of us though. My dad kept Bryan and me, while mom got the other three. I was always the quiet one, and not that attached to my brothers and sister, so it wasn't that big of a deal. But being separated from your three twins is difficult. Very difficult. Plus, my dad decided to move us from New York to California, and there really wasn't that much contact between our family.

My dad has remarried now. Two years ago actually. To a school teacher named Leela. She's the nicest person on the entire earth! She's not that old either. Well, neither is my dad. Anyway, the best part is, she's seven months pregnant!! I'm getting a new step-sister/brother!!! I can't wait! Bryan's extremely annoying, so hopefully a tiny baby will lighten us both up. But, back to my mess of a life. Here are the things. One, I'm still separated from my brothers and sister, and haven't had direct contact in nine years. Two, I'm getting a step-sister/brother, who will be 16 years younger than me, which is weird enough on its own. Three, My step-sister/brother will not see California. Why? Because we're moving to New York.

A musically talented teen with her sights set on the spotlight must find a way to get her life back when she falls in with the mob. ***** In a city where con artists make the rules and aspiring females wear sequins and dance with a pole, Melody Holiday refuses to ride on the coattails of her semi-famous grandfather. She wants the freedom to choose her own path to showbiz greatness. When a chance meeting with a handsome stranger provides Mel with an opportunity, she thinks she's landed the big one. But her grandpa isn't thrilled with the direction Mel's career is going, and it's not until she stumbles across something she probably shouldn't have that this becomes clear. Perhaps meeting the stranger with the Rocky Balboa eyes wasn't by chance. Maybe Mel is rubbing elbows with the kind of people who could take away her freedom for good. This story is loosely based on the author's feral youth. So, if you like your fiction shaken not stirred with a sprinkle of badboy on the rim, NEON GIRL delivers the goods; giving readers a dose of drama, a dash of romance, and a heaping helping of Las Vegas schmaltz. Oh, and there's a killer playlist, too. WATTYS WINNER! LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction and owned by the author.
