Demon World has a bloody past. It holds the initial tides of the demonic civil war, and it is what started the slow erosion of the balance between the demon and the human realms.

A new king and a new queen must be appointed if there is any hope of repairing the two worlds, but without a female Dark Blood, there is only confusion and debate. Unknown to Reyna and the rest is while they argue, Lys has come to the conclusion that in order to save the balance, all must be destroyed and left to its own mercy.

When the lines between humans, demons, and spirits blur, what happens in its wake determines the definition of existence itself.

They say time heals all wounds, but when you can live eons, how much time do you need? As the nine realms continue to slowly recover from the battles and changes that the council have gone through, Ferya finds her power growing but her mental energy for the demands placed on her is flagging. Cingetorix spends her days fighting piles of paper and struggling under the expectations of the council, and her nights helping her friends and being dragged into training with Lucifer. An old mentor from Murchadh's past returns, and her presence causes complications and far reaching consequences. Lucifer prepares his Generals for a battle that is materializing in the shadows, while watching Torix's power continue to grow with concern. But just as the enemy gets to the doorstep, Lucifer is forced to make a deal that will leave Ferya, Cingetorix and all their friends without their strongest allies as they move forward to face a murderer. As the lines between friend and foe blurs and the questions of who to trust and where the danger is truly coming from, Ferya and Torix will have their hardest battles yet. Can the granddaughter of the fallen one take his place in ensuring the universe remains balanced? And can an angel killer hold her own against beings who consider themselves gods?
