Jack's parents did not accept him being gay. They gave Jack some money, so he can leave the house for food and shelter. Instead, Jack gets a flight to L.A. and rents an apartment and finds a job at a gay bar, which people will accept him as being gay. While being interviewed, he finds the man of his dreams.
