Kanoa (kuh-NO-a) Waters was suppose to be a regular fangirl. Until a monster attacked. She was taken to Camp Half-Blood and everyone was mildly surprised she could read and use technology. She told them she already knew about Camp Half-Blood. When she told them their lives are in books, they start to question her about what else she's read, and she doesn't like the attention. She starts to go on top of Half-Blood hill to read.
Nico Di Angelo joins her after seeing her there. He starts to get interested in the stories. He then starts to feel something else... But not for the books.

Happening sometime after Camp Jupiter and Half-Blood Hill unite. Percy and Annabeth are finally looking forward to peace and quiet. They've had a hard couple of years. Hard is an understatement. They look forward to kicking back, going to college, collecting a few demigods, and hanging out with their friends. But when Rachel Dare has a fainting fit and reveals a prophecy that shatters the allusion that they'll have even a sort of normal life. Percy is yet again thrown into a quest that is going to take all of his powerful friends to accomplish. But the person he needs most will have to be left behind. Violet didn't ask for this. She never does. It was an accident. But she knows it's not. With the threat of getting kicked out of yet another school Violet has to keep her wits with her as she tries to brave the horrors of high school her senior year. But when another "accident" results in her trashing the auditorium and meeting a dark haired green eyed boy Violet learns that her normal life has never been normal at all.
