He's like a wave. You know the easy waves? The ones that pick you up and put you down? No effort. Then it crashes further down. He looked like one of those. Harmless. Care-free. But then it fucking hits you. It hits you so hard you can't feel the bottom. You fucking lose yourself in it. You find yourself swimming in a ocean of hopelessness. You thought it was gonna be easy and gentle, you weren't ready for it. You can't find yourself. You're lost. You'll eventually recover you know, but that wave will always have a mark on you.
