The sea was restless the night Aria Buckingham was born. Dark waves crashed violently against the cliffs of Port Royal, their rage whispering secrets only the wind could hear. The sky, black as sin, carried no moon-only streaks of silver lightning splitting through the heavens like vengeful swords. In a grand estate, nestled just beyond the harbor, a woman labored in pain, her screams swallowed by the storm. "She must not be born near the water!" an elderly midwife pleaded. "The prophecy-" A man loomed in the candlelight, his face shadowed with fear. His name was Lord Edward Buckingham, a powerful British noble whose wealth stretched across the Caribbean. He had spent his life running from the legend that now threatened his child. His wife, Isla, lay trembling in the bed, her face pale as foam on the tide. "She is coming," Isla whispered, her grip tightening around his wrist. "She belongs to the sea." "No," Edward growled, turning his back on her. "She belongs here, with me." Lightning struck the shore outside, sending an eerie blue glow through the window. And then-silence. A baby's cry pierced the night. But it was not the cry of an ordinary child. The windows shattered. The candles flickered. And in the wind, a voice, ancient and sorrowful, carried from the waves: "She will return to us, Edward Buckingham. No man can keep the sea from what is rightfully hers." Edward's blood ran cold. He staggered back, watching as the midwife cradled the newborn girl, her tiny fingers curling around the silver locket Isla had placed around her neck. A locket inscribed with a name-Aria. As the storm raged on, Edward made a decision that would change Aria's fate forever. She would never know who she truly was. She would never see the sea. And she would never-ever-learn the truth of her mother's death. Not if he could help it.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Lost

24 parts Ongoing

The experiments unfolded, scattering like fragile shards across the endless islands, their edges softened by time yet never truly lost. Memories unraveled like threads caught in the wind, slipping through grasping fingers, dissolving into nameless tides. And still, one cannot help but wonder-did they ever truly seek to reclaim them? Or were they meant to drift, untethered, between what was and what could have been? In this boundless sea, they remain-specters of something half-remembered, untouched by death, at least for now. But the past is never silent, only sleeping, buried beneath the hush of the waves. Beneath the weight of salt and centuries, echoes stir in the deep, restless and waiting. Forgotten names, forsaken dreams, lingering like footprints in shifting sands, erased and rewritten with each passing storm. Some chase the ghosts of what was, desperate to stitch together a story undone. Others flee, fearing that to remember is to break. Yet no soul can outrun the tide forever. The current pulls, unyielding, toward an inevitable reckoning. And when the sea finally sings their names once more, will they answer? Or will they, too, fade into the whispers of a world that was never meant to remember them? An arcane odyssey fanfiction
